"CA Process: Error Initializing CA Context..." When Attempting to Activate the CA Process

| Problem |
You successfully migrate a Notes certifier ID for the CA process. However, after issuing the "Tell CA activate" command, you receive the following error:
"nCA Process: Error initializing CA Context(CN=xxx) from ICL db IDStorage form: You cannot access portions of this document because it is encrypted and was not intended for you". |

| Solution |
The problem can occur if the certifier is protected with LockID instead of password activation.
To resolve the issue, enter the following command after you load the Certificate Authority (CA) task on the Domino server console:
tell CA unlock <IDFile> <password>
where <IDFile> contains the path and filename of the User ID (or lock ID) and <password> as the password to the ID file.
Example:
tell CA unlock d:\lotus\notes\data\user1.id secret
To verify that the command was successful, enter the following command on the Domino server console:
If the CA process was successfully loaded and activated, you will see the following in the server console:
[date/time] 3. CN=Locked CA1/O=LockTest
[date/time] Lock ID Name: CN=Asp Adm/O=Domain
[date/time] Active: Yes
[date/time] ICL DB Path: ICL_LockedCA1.nsf |
