微软的IM软件MSN Messenger因为集即时消息、音视频聊天、自动邮件检查等多种功能于一身，一直备受广大网友的追棒。其实Instant Messaging（即时消息）是在Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server中首次被引入的重要组件，基于Exchange Server的这个Instant Messaging服务，你可以在企业内部建一台MSN Messenger的服务器，实现企业内的IM， 更重要的是MSN Messenger Service不但可以登陆到您企业内部的Exchange Instant Messaging Service，还可以登陆到MSN的.NET Messenger Service，从而使企业内外的沟通更快捷，方便。本文，将带领大家玩转Exchange 2000 Server的Instant Messaging 。

一.准备工作
1. Exchange 2000 Server安装光盘
2.安装Exchange 2000 Server
在你的服务器上安装Microsoft Exchange Server 2000，并确定所有服务正常运行。（有关安装过程，请参考相关资料，本文不做详细介绍）
3.下载用于Exchange 2000 Server 的 Windows Messenger 5.0
（下载地址：http://www.microsoft.com/exchange/downloads/2000/IMclient.asp）
4.准备和检查DNS的RVP记录(已有此记录请跳过)：

A. 单击“开始”－>“程序”->“管理工具”－>打开“DNS”工具，打开“正向搜索区域”的“_tcp”项，看是否存在名为“_rvp”的DNS记录，如图：

B.如果在A中您没有发现名为“_rvp”的DNS记录，请单击右键选择“其它新记录”，如图:

C.在接下来的“资源记录类型”对话框，选择“服务位置”单击“创建记录”按钮，如图：

D.在“新建资源记录”对话框的，服务栏输入“_rvp”、协议栏选择“_tcp”,优先级及负担栏均输入“0”、端口号栏输入“80”、主机提供此服务栏输入你的Exchane Server的FQDN路径，再次确定以上输入，单击确定，如图：

二．安装及设定Instant Messaging Services
1.安装Microsoft Exchange Server 2000的 Chat Services和Instant Messaging Services
A.将Exchange Server 2000的安装光盘放入光驱，安装程序将自动运行，出现““Welcome to the Microsoft Exchange Installation Wizard”画面，单击“下一步”
B. 在“Action”栏选择“Change”,并将“Chat Services”和“Instant Messaging Services”组件选择成“Install”状态，单击“下一步”，如图：

C．在接下来的“Licensing Agreement”(授权协议)画面，选择“I agrr that:…”单击“下一步”,如图：

D. 在接下来的“Component Summary”画面，确认添加安装的是“Chat Services”和“Instant Messaging Services”组件后，单击“下一步”,如图：

E. 单击“下一步”, 安装系统将自动完成安装任务:

2.设定Instant Messaging Services服务
A.单击“开始”－>“程序”->“Microsoft Exchange ”－>“System Manager”启动Exchange的管理窗口，如图：

B.在Exchange System Manager（EMS）窗口，以序单击打开“Administrative Group”->“Frist Administrativer Group”－>“Servers”－>你的Exchane服务器名－>“Protocols”－>“Instant Messaging（RVP）”，单击右键选择“新建”，选择“Instant Messaging Virtual Server”,在接下的来的画面中单击“下一步”，如图：

C.在“Display Name”栏中输入您新建的Instant Messaging Virtual Server的显示名称，如“Instant Messager”,然后单击下一步，如图：

D.在“Choose IIS Web Site”中选择你的站点（如果你没有新建站点，请选择“默认WEB站点”）,单击“下一步”，如图:

E. 在DNS Domain Name栏中将默认的Exchange服务器名的FQDN路径。然后单击“下一步”如图：

F. 在“Allow this server to host accounts”前面打勾，单击“下一步”如图：

G.单击“完成”，到此您已配置好“Instant Messaging Services服务”

3.配置用户帐号：
A. 单击“开始”－>“程序”->“管理工具”－>“Active Directory 用户和计算机”，在“Users”中选择您需要设定的用户，双击此用户，在随后的“用户属性”对话框中选择“Exchange Features”选项卡，选中“Instant Messaging”如图：

C.选择我们刚新建的Instant Messaging Virtual Server 名称如“Instant Messager”，单击“确定”，如图：

4.安装及配置MSN Messenger Service
A．在客户机安装MSN Messenger Service 2.2，安装程序可以在Exchange 2000 Server安装光盘的\INSTMSG\I386\CLIENT\CHS（中文简本）目录中找到，文件名为MMSSETUP.EXE，因为版本太旧MSN Messenger Service 2.2已无法同时登录.Net Passport帐号（MSN），如果你希望同时登录，建议您安装本文开始是从网上下载的来的Windows Messenger 5.0。

B.运行Windows Messenger 5.0，选择 “工具”－>“选项”－>“账户”选项卡中的“首先用此账户登陆”选项中选择“Exchange”在Exchange账户“登陆名”栏输入登陆名您需要登录的用户的邮件地址，如administrator@vigowireless.com, 同时你可以在你的.Net Passport帐户中输入你的如图外部MSN或是Hostmail帐户或密码，然后单击“确定”。如图：
